Internal Audit Intern

Summer Intern Project

“My summer projects focused on performing various tasks to assist in the auditing of business applications, such as internal controls for SEMS and AX and cycle count observations for Chicago Tube & Iron (CTI). I also performed an accounts payable recovery audit, identifying lost or misplaced mill claims or credits that were available for the company to use. I also created an educational presentation explaining the reason behind internal controls performed by the other interns. The presentation also provided an overview of what the internal audit department does, why auditing exists, and other controls the interns would not experience but we need to assess when completing an internal audit.”
