Inside Sales Intern
Summer Intern Project
“My summer project was to accumulate and sort data collected through Olympic Steel’s transactional quoting process. I then logged customer information, sizes, grades, quantity, current availability and lead time. I also collected pertinent feedback if an order was not awarded. I presented the data I collected to the Sales team, Purchasing team and General Manager of my division for the purpose of evaluating inventory position, territorial/competitor pricing, territorial success rate/activity, asset lead time response rate, customer usage, prospect engagement and development, address trends, business modeling and other data to effectively target new and existing business and to develop a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) spreadsheet with information collected through quoting/order process and daily Outside Sales Representative (OSR) reports.”
